Privacy policy

datatechstack provides the Job Autofill browser extension and related account, subscription, support, and consulting services.

What stays in your browser

Your autofill profile, CV and cover-letter files, application answers, and fill results are stored locally by the extension. Job Autofill reads the active application page only when you choose Fill this page. This application content is not sent to datatechstack for account metering, billing, or consulting attribution.

Account and usage information

We issue a random first-party browser identifier to restore your Free entitlement after an ordinary extension reinstall. We process a canonical Free entitlement, verified-account linkage, 30-day period state, and one-way application identifiers used to count each distinct application once. These identifiers are pseudonymous hashes, not application URLs, and do not contain form contents. We retain claim history to prevent ordinary reinstall and account-switch trial resets.

Anonymous product analytics

To understand whether Job Autofill is useful, we record a small set of activation events using the existing anonymous browser identifier: installation, popup opening, profile start and readiness, fill clicks, blocked or unsupported fills, successful fills, and email-verification prompts and completion. Each event contains only the anonymous identifier, event name, server timestamp, and extension version. It does not contain profile answers, CV or cover-letter contents, application answers, employer or job names, application URLs, page contents, or field values.

Optional uninstall feedback

Chrome may open an optional datatechstack feedback page after Job Autofill is uninstalled. If you choose to respond, we store the reason selected, any short comment you provide, and the submission time. The survey does not request an account, name, email address, phone number, application details, or CV/profile contents, and responses are not linked to the extension's anonymous browser identifier.

Security and abuse prevention

We process short-lived, purpose-limited network information to rate-limit abnormal creation of new browser identities or accounts. Network information does not determine identity, grant allowance, or merge people who share an IP address. We do not use hardware IDs, MAC addresses, canvas, fonts, GPU details, screen details, or other invasive browser fingerprints.

Payments

Stripe processes Pro checkout and billing. datatechstack stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, renewal or end date, and cancellation state. datatechstack does not receive or store full payment-card details.

Consulting attribution and marketing choice

If you click a career-diagnostic prompt, we record that the source was the extension and whether it appeared when the Free allowance was exhausted or after 10 or 30 distinct job applications were autofilled with Pro. If you separately tick the optional marketing checkbox during signup, we store that choice. It is unticked by default and is not required to use Job Autofill.

Bug reports

If you submit a bug report, we store the email address, website link and description you enter, the extension version, submission time, and report status in a datatechstack-controlled Google Sheet. We use the email address only to contact you about that report. Do not include personal application information in the description. Bug reports do not automatically include your name, CV, profile, application answers, DOM, screenshots, or attachments.

Service providers and retention

Google Cloud hosts the service and account records, Google Sheets stores submitted bug reports, and Stripe provides billing. Records are retained only as needed to provide the service, maintain security and billing records, resolve reports, and meet legal obligations. Session and verification records expire. You may request deletion of your account data through the datatechstack website support channel.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Our use of information received through Chrome extension permissions complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use that information only to provide or improve Job Autofill's disclosed user-facing features. We do not sell it, use it for personalised advertising, or allow humans to read it except with the user's consent for support, when required for security or legal compliance, or after aggregation and anonymisation for permitted internal operations.

Your choices

Your first successfully autofilled application is available without an account. Email verification unlocks the remaining four Free applications in each 30-day period. You can sign out, decline marketing, dismiss consulting prompts, cancel Pro through Stripe's billing portal, and choose whether to submit a bug report. Review every autofilled answer before continuing; Job Autofill does not submit applications or attempt to detect submission.
